| Text to Speech (TTS) – while working with a healthcare organization focusing on special needs patients and illiterate adults, we developed a Text to Speech option for the TouchPoint application. This feature reads the text as it appears on the screen. It also highlights the text as it is being read to give a clear visual cue to the respondent. Speed and volume can be adjusted and the feature can be enabled or disabled through the Admin console of the TouchPoint application. This new feature is available in version 2.0.34 or above. Note: At this time the application comes standard with the English voice library, but additional libraries can be added to the application MSI.
Barcode Scanning now Available – Elo TouchSystems, manufacturer of the Elo Touchcomputer has recently partnered with Opinionmeter to work on developing a lead- generation solution using their Touchcomputer equipped with a barcode scanner. The barcode scanner uses Symbol Omni-directional scanning technology and is compatible with all standard barcodes. Note: this feature is available with TouchPoint version 2.0.34 or above. |

New SurveyManager Features!

New Question Type: Matrix Open-Ended – for the TouchPoint application – Now you can have multiple open-ended questions on the same page. This new feature comes in very handy when capturing respondent contact information! We call this new question type the Matrix Open-ended question. Click Here to take a look at a same screen shot of a sample page. Note: compatible with TouchPoint revision 2.0.31 or above
. New Report Type: Respondent Level report - Have you ever wanted to drill-down to the respondent level within a report, any report? For example, perhaps you’ve run a cross-tabulation report and segmented your data by a particular demographic and you want to step through just those surveys? The new Respondent Level report will allow you to do just that! We’re adding a “Respondent Level” report button to every report within the SurveyManager, which means you, can access it from wherever you are in the reporting module. This is especially useful if your survey contains open-ended comments – by drilling down to the respondent level, you can review the comments of each respondent. From within this report, you’ll be able to delete, print or export just like you can with all other reports. Click Here to view a sample of the report format. |

| New TouchPoint Handheld – We’ve completed work on the new TouchPoint handheld application. We are now making the necessary adjustments to the SurveyManager (new preview window, new device type, etc.). This major upgrade provide the TouchPoint Handheld the same flexibility and feature set you now enjoy with the TouchPoint Kiosk and Tablet models. And, yes – it will include the recent multimedia features as well!
SurveyManager Report Dashboard – Once we have finished testing the TouchPoint Handheld, we plan to begin work on adding a Dashboard to the reporting module of the SurveyManager. If you are familiar with dashboards, they provide users the ability to view and manage multiple report types simultaneously from a single view. This is one reason we selected Dundas as our graphics tool of choice. For example, if you take a look at the visually rich representation of data their tool provides, I think you’ll agree this will be an exciting addition to the SurveyManager’s robust reporting engine. Introduction and Thank You screens – Recently we changed the html editor used for the Intro and Thank You screens. One reason for doing this was to have upward compatibility with additional features. For example, we plan to add the ability to add images and media within these pages. This will allow you to include large images or media within the Intro/thank you screens that are independent from the header/footer images used within the body of the survey.
