Hello Morgan, This newsletter is intended to keep you up to date with the latestOpinionmeter news. In this issue, you’ll find new product and featureannouncements, press releases, survey tips and a look at the future enhancementswe’re currently working on!Be sure to check out the ‘AvailableDownloads’ section in the left side-bar. Just click on whichever item you’d liketo download. New TouchPointFeatures! TouchPoint-USB – Now you can sync your TouchPoints with theSurveyManager without an Internet connection! We’ve created a small applicationthat can reside on a memory stick (Flash drive) so you can download a new surveyto the Flash drive and use it to program a TouchPoint as well as upload datawhere no Internet connection is available. This is especially helpful forclients whose security restrictions may not allow connecting the TouchPoint totheir network to gain access to theInternet! SurveyManagerEnhancements! SurveyDesign – We’ve added a new question type called the “Information Page”. TheInformation Page uses our html editor and allows you to insert text &graphics between any questions in your survey. Some interesting uses of thishave been to provide immediate feedback on how the previous question wasanswered (especially interesting if it’s a quiz question!). You can also breakup your suvey into sections and introduce the next section of quesitons with theInformation Page question.Copying and Sharing Surveys – Whencopying or sharing a survey, your branching logic and custom skin formattingassociated with the survey will now copy as well. Previously, only the surveytext would be copied. NewReporting features introduced - Calculation Options – You now have the option of calculating resultsoff the total number of surveys or the individual question totals – this isespecially useful when a survey contains branching logic and you want tocalculate results not off the total response count but the count only for thespecific questions individually. It can also be very useful when combiningcomplete and incomplete surveys within your reports.   SPSS (.SAV) format export option now supported  - In addition tocomma separated, tab delimited and fixed width, you can now export raw data inSPSS compatible format.   Separate survey data by language within reports  - When runningreports on multilingual surveys, you now can filter by the language selected UserManagement – We now have a solution for Enterprise accounts that wish tomanage all devices within the Enterprise level, but distribute data tosub-accounts. We call this new feature the “Distribute Report” feature. This isa great way to manage data and devices throughout sub-accounts. In contrast tothe ‘Share Survey’ feature, Distribute Reports allows a parent account to sharethe data to sub-accounts allowing them to not only view but run reports ondevices that reside above in the parent (enterprise) account. SecurityEnhancements – To satisfy an important security requirement for thehealthcare industry, the SurveyManager now utilizes HIPPA compliantrecommendations for state-of-the-art security. Among the recommendations is theuse of strong passwords, which has been recently added to the SurveyManager.Please see the press release in the download section for moredetails. Coming Soon! ReportDashboard – We’re very excited about this new feature which will extend thepower of all the reports within the SurveyManager. You will be able to customizeyour own reporting dashboards by dragging and dropping report gadgets withinquadrants of the dashboard. You’ll also be able to drill-through and roll-upreports within the Dashboard as well! This major enhancement is due to go livein mid March, 2010.X-platform Mobile Phone application – We’ve begun work on a newproduct on a new platform: the Mobile Phone! Our research indicates there aremature cross-platform development frameworks and we feel this will be the bestway forward. We’re at the very beginning stags of this development, so staytuned! OnlineSurvey Module upgrade – We’re working on optimizing the online survey moduleso that it will be compatible with the majority of mobile phone browsers. Theonline survey module can then be used as a mobile web application, as well as atraditional web survey tool. Keep Up to Date! Check forUpdates – Be sure to periodically do a ‘Check for Update’ on your devices toensure you have the latest application updates. If you have version 2.4.43 orlater, this step has been automated.Read on… Announcing NewFeatures Report Scheduler – We’ve added more granular functionality to theReport Scheduler. Now you can schedule reports and include historical data basedon daily, weekly or monthly intervals! Previously, you could only includemonthly intervals. Deploying the same survey to multiple device types? We’ve expandedthe Multiple Survey feature to allow for comparing common questions acrossdifferent surveys and different device types. Great feature to use with theLocation Comparison report, when each location might have different surveys buthave a core group of common questions. New Matrix Ranking Question type – With Matrix Ranking, all responsesare ranked according to preference – The Matrix Ranking question restricts arespondent to selecting one value for each response – no response can beduplicated, thereby providing a ranking of all options in the question. Isolating Complete and/or Incomplete Surveys within Reports- Now youhave the option of running reports on Complete and/or Incomplete surveys, orboth combined. We’ve included radio buttons in the Create Survey screen to givemore control over which survey group to include in your reports. Additionally,you can now click on the ‘Complete’ and ‘Incomplete’ Survey counts and receive apopup showing the raw data of each survey group. As you know, incomplete surveydata can be very helpful in determining root causes of incomplete counts. Coming Soon! Memory Stick export option for the TouchPoint- Now you have theoption of exporting your raw data from the TouchPoint device to a USB memorystick. When it’s critical to access data and no Internet connection isavailable, the USB memory stick will come in handy! TouchPoint application available on the PocketPC! -We’re currently inthe process of porting over the TouchPoint application, which has a wide-rangeof question types as well as multimedia functionality, to the WindowsMobileplatform for use on the PocketPC and other Mobile devices. 1,2,3 Click! – Coca Cola Spain has requested the ability to capture adigital image of the respondent for entry into a drawing as way of incenting therespondent. We are currently working on this exciting enhancement whereby therespondent can opt to include their photograph along with the survey. A digitalcamera accessory is required for this enhancement. Password protected survey… In addition to the magnetic card reader,we are working on introducing another method of validating the surveyrespondent. We will introduce a password screen option so the TouchPoint cancheck a pre-existing list of passwords to validate the survey respondent priorto “unlocking” the survey.
